Blends to mix and match

Vinyl flakes come in a wide range of blends, and we pair them with basecoat colors to suit your home.

Easy to keep clean

A sealed, seamless surface wipes up oil, tire marks and everyday dirt far more easily than bare concrete.

Flake hides imperfections

The speckled finish helps mask small marks and dust, so the floor looks tidy between cleanings.

Built for many uses

Flake systems are one of the most popular choices because they work in garages, workshops, laundry rooms and more.

How the decorative flake system works

A flake floor is built in layers. After the concrete is prepared, we roll on a colored epoxy basecoat. While it is still wet, vinyl flakes are broadcast over the surface until it is fully covered. Once the basecoat sets, the excess flake is removed and a clear protective topcoat locks everything in.

Because the flakes come in many blends, you can mix and match them with basecoat colors. Want a quiet gray that matches the driveway, or a bold blend with some contrast? Ask to see samples at your estimate so you can judge the options in your own garage light.

  • Colored epoxy basecoat
  • Vinyl flakes broadcast into the wet coat
  • Clear topcoat for protection and easier cleaning

Why preparation matters in Florida

The coating is only as good as the concrete underneath it. Proper preparation usually means mechanically grinding the slab, which removes sealers and surface contamination and gives the epoxy something to grip. Skipping this step is a common reason that coatings peel, and one reason hot tires can pull up the finish on poorly prepped floors.

South Florida slabs also deal with moisture. Humidity, summer storms and a high water table can send vapor up through concrete. We look at the condition of your floor during the estimate and talk through what it needs, including cracks, old patches and oil stains, before any coating goes down.

Is a flake floor right for your garage?

For most home garages, yes. It is a practical finish for cars, bikes, storage and workbenches. If you are comparing options or wondering what drives the cost, our guides on choosing a garage floor coating and garage epoxy floor cost factors explain the trade-offs in plain English.

We work throughout the area, including Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Pompano Beach. If your garage opens onto a driveway that also needs attention, ask about paver and driveway sealing in the same visit.

FAQ

Garage Floor Epoxy FAQs

How much does a garage floor epoxy cost?

It depends on the size of the garage, the condition of the concrete, repairs needed and the system you choose. We give you a clear written price after seeing the floor during your free estimate. Our post on cost factors explains what moves the number.

How long does the job take?

Many garage projects take one to a few days depending on the floor's condition and the system. We will give you a schedule with your estimate.

What do I need to do before you arrive?

Clear the garage as much as you can, including vehicles, shelves and anything stored on the floor. We will tell you what else to move and answer questions at the estimate.

When can I park on it?

Cure time depends on the product and conditions, so we will confirm the exact timing for your floor during the estimate and at the walkthrough. Please do not park or load the floor until we say it is ready.

How do I take care of it?

Sweep or dust mop, and wash with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh abrasives. Our guide to caring for coated floors covers the basics.

Do you offer a warranty?

We will explain what is covered, and for how long, in writing during your estimate, so you know exactly what to expect before you decide.

Do I need a permit or HOA approval?

Interior garage floor coatings usually do not need a permit, but rules vary. If your community has an HOA, check whether color choices need approval. We can help with a sample or description. Contact us with questions.
